SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League’s (NOJHL) Espanola Paper Kings have announced the commitment of forward Callum Millar to NCAA Division III Hiram College in Ohio where he will further his education and compete with the Terriers men’s hockey program.

The crafty 20-year-old from Aurora, Ont., collected 24 points for the Paper Kings in 48 games played, including 23 in his final 39 contests, on 13 tallies and 11 assists.

Nine of Millar’s points came on the power play, where he scored four times and helped set-up five others.

In games in which he picked up at least one point, Espanola sported a solid 11-5-1-1 record as he wrapped up the regular season by scoring in each of his teams’ final three outings.

In discussing his commitment, Millar offered: “I’m looking forward to the next challenge in my career of playing college hockey. I’m thankful for the opportunity I had to spend my final year of junior in Espanola and appreciate all the support I received from the coaches, management, teammates, billets and fans throughout the season.”

“We want to thank Callum for his efforts with organization and wish him the best in school and in life,” said Paper Kings general manager Marc Gagnon.

Head coach Jason Rapciewicz went on to add: “Callum was a solid contributor for us and we look forward to seeing him doing the same at Hiram College.”

Based in suburban Cleveland, Ohio, the Terriers are an NCAA D-III independent school, who will be entering their second season in the U.S. collegiate ranks.
