Express Acquire Schneider from Pelham Panthers

ESPANOLA, ON – On September 30th the Espanola Express made an acquisition acquiring goaltender Eric Schneider from the Pelham Panthers of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL).

Last season with the Panthers Schneider had  a 3.79 goals against average and .895 save percentage in 20 regular season games and in three playoff games had 5.10 goals against average and .873 save percentage. Schneider was one of four 16 year old goaltenders to play full time in the GOJHL last season.  He was a teammate of Express captain Matthew Reynolds before the Express acquired him last season.

Before playing in Pelham, Schneider helped back stop the Toronto Marlboros Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team to an OHL Cup appearance in the 2016-17 hockey season. 

Fans can catch the Express in action as they play Soo Eagles this Friday evening at the Espanola Recreation Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM. Admission is $10 Adults and $8 Seniors/Students
