Fahey Rides the Rails to Espanola!

ESPANOLA, ON – The Espanola Express are proud to announce the signing of 5’11 190 lbs Left Wing and Power Forward Jakob Fahey from Lively, Ontario.

Fahey attended the Express Spring Camp in May at the Countryside Arena in Sudbury. At the camp he showed grit, physicality and a high compete level. He spent last season with the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves Midget AAA Team in the Great North Midget League. Fahey had eight goals six assists in 45 GNML games to help the Nickel Capital Wolves to their fourth straight GNML Final.

He is the third member of the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves to join the Express in the last week joining A.J. Favot and Nicholas Faught. He is the first 2001 birthyear player to commit to the Express for the 2019-20 NOJHL hockey season.

Fahey has been part of two NOHA championship teams with the Copper Cliff Redmen Midget AA hockey club in the 2017-18 season and the Nickel City Jr. Sons Bantam AA team in the 2015-16 season. In both seasons he was a semi-finalist at the OHF Provincial Championships.
