ESPANOLA EXPRESS

The Express have added another 96 birth year forward with a scoring touch. Signed to play the upcoming 2016-2017 season for Espanola is 6’0″ 185lbs Nathan Viberg. The speedy right winger hails from Orland Park, Illionois and becomes the 5th U.S. born player to sign with the Express this season. Last season Viberg started the season with the Wisconsin Whalers of the NA3HL where he amassed 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points in 34 games played.  Nathan’s hard work and great play earned him the opportunity to finish the season with the Springfield Jr Blues of the NAHL, where he posted 4 goals and 1 assist in 16 games. “Nate will add some experience and leadership to our room this year,” commented head coach Jason Rapcewicz. “his offensive ability and creativity will also be a welcomed addition,” added Rapcewicz.

The Espanola Express will be holding their main camp this weekend from Fri-Sun in Espanola. The Express will then take to the ice for a home and home exhibition game with the French River Rapids the following weekend, playing at home Friday night 7:30pm and in Sturgeon Falls Saturday night.
