McVeigh boards on the Trainyard!

By Grant Trayner:

ESPANOLA, ONTARIO – The Espanola Express are proud to announce the signing of Defenceman & Winger Josh McVeigh from Mississauga, Ontario.

McVeigh caught the eyes of the Express staff at the spring camp in Sudbury during the May 11-12th weekend. He spent last season with the St. George Ravens of the Greater Metro Hockey League. In 32 games he tallied 5 goals and 10 assists for a total of 15 points. McVeigh’s ability to play both forward and defense will be useful as he can be slotted into any position in the lineup on any given night.

Before playing in St. George McVeigh has spent time developing his talents in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. He is a 2001 birth year player that has three years of junior hockey eligibility remaining.

McVeigh was a teammate of Current Express Right Wing Dylan Labelle in a Spring Showcase in March 2018 in the Greater Toronto Area.
