The North Bay Battalion have called up Espanola Express goaltender Logan Sawka to address their current goaltending vacancies. Sawka a 1997 birth year, Calgary Alberta native, finds himself travelling down Highway 17 to join the OHL Battalion Club. With both goaltenders sidelined by injuries, the Battalion look to Sawka to join their squad for this weekends games on loan from the Express.
Just hours after his arrival on Thursday, Sawka and the troops play the Flint Firebirds and they will be on the road Friday night to play the Oshawa Generals, then return home to host The Windsor Spitfires on Sunday.
The Express goaltender has been playing very good as of late, with strong performances in his last few games.
“Logan is playing great for us right now with outstanding outings in his last 3 games for us, he is tied for 3rd amongst active goaltenders in the league, with a save percentage of .919.” said Express director of Hockey Operations Randy Blake.
