NOJHL announces its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that goaltender Noah Tegelaar (Blind River Beavers); forward Nolan Hendry (Soo Eagles) and forward Lucas Signoretti (Espanola Paper Kings) have been named its Eastlink TV 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending February 18.

NOAH TEGELAAR, (G) BLIND RIVER BEAVERS: The 17-year-old Georgetown, Ontario product was perfect in his only game of the week shutting out the Greater Sudbury Cubs in a battle for the top spot in the NOJHL.

In that game, Tegelaar made 27 saves in a 5-0 victory for the Beavers Saturday night in Blind River.

Through 27 games, Tegelaar has an impressive record of 24 wins, 3 losses along with a league-leading 1.91 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.

NOLAN HENDRY, (F) SOO EAGLES: The 18-year-old Milton, Ontario product netted 4 goals and 1 assist in two home victories for the Soo Eagles.

On Friday, Hendry had a “natural” first period hat trick in the Eagles 6-2 win over the visiting Timmins Rock. Hendry then added 1 goal and 1 assist in the Eagles convincing 11-1 win over the Elliot Lake Vikings.

Through 34 games this season, Hendry has 14 goals and 18 assists for 32 points.

In his two seasons in the NOJHL with the Eagles, Hendry has 26 goals and 41 assists for 67 points in 92 NOJHL games.

LUCAS SIGNORETTI, (F) ESPANOLA PAPER KINGS: The speedy and talented 19-year-old scored 4 times and added 3 assists for 7 points in two home victories for the Paper Kings this week.

Signoretti started the week by scoring an important shorthanded tally for the Paper Kings in a 4-2 win over the visiting Powassan Voodoos in Espanola on Friday.

The Sudbury Wolves prospect then added 2 goals and 3 assists in a 10-2 Paper Kings win over the visiting French River Rapids on Sunday afternoon.

Through 42 games, the Kinborn, Ontario product has 39 goals and 43 assists for 92 points as he closes in on a 100-point season.

In his two years in the NOJHL, Signoretti has accumulated 78 goals and 93 assists for 171 points in only 82 games.
