ESPANOLA EXPRESS
The Express have added more size and experience to their defensive core with the addition of 19 year old Cory Ellerton. “Cory will add speed and size to the back end, which has a considerably different look then last years group,” commented Express GM Scott Ginson.
The big 6’3″, 199lbs defenceman comes to Espanola from Pointe-Claire, Quebec. Ellerton played last season in Maine at the prestigious Bridgton Academy where he tallied 4 points in 17 games. “Cory is a very dependable defenceman, who is on the radar of several DI and DIII schools,” added Ginson.
Look to see Cory’s debut this weekend as The Espanola Express will be playing home and home exhibition games with The French River Rapids in NOJHL pre season action. Game 1 takes place this Friday August 26th in Espanola at 7:30pm. Game 2 will be held Saturday August 27th in a neutral site match in Sturgeon Falls.
