The Espanola Express recieved a unanimous vote from each team govenor to join the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League for the upcoming 2015-2016 season. This is one more big step towards officially returning Tier II Jr. “A” hockey back to the great hockey town of Espanola. The last step will be to present to the Northern Ontario Hockey Association, the governing body for Hockey Canada youth hockey in Northern Ontario.
The town is buzzing with excitement with the potential of a return to the established NOJHL and Friday Night hockey. The new ownership group expects to take off right where they left off in the 2013 season as the league leading attendance leaders in the NOJHL, averaging 500+ fans a night.
